Version 1.0Effective Date: 1 October 2026Last Updated: 1 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on entegriconnect.net and the Entegri Connect Platform. It should be read together with the Platform Privacy Policy and the Website Terms of Use.

2. WHAT COOKIES ARE
2.1 A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is being used.
2.2 This Policy also covers similar technologies that store or access information on your device, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and software development kits. References to “cookies” in this Policy include these technologies.
2.3 Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2.4 Cookies may also be first-party cookies, set by us, or third-party cookies, set by a service provider we use.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR USING COOKIES
3.1 Cookies that store or access information on your device may involve the processing of personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), and constitute the use of a data message under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”).
3.2 Where you access the Platform from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the storing of information on, or the gaining of access to information already stored on, your device is additionally governed by the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in your country, or by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 in the United Kingdom. Under those rules, consent is required for every cookie that is not strictly necessary, and consent must be given by a clear affirmative act.
3.3 We rely on the following bases:
3.3.1 Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are necessary to perform our contract with you and to give effect to your request to access the Website and the Platform. These cannot be disabled through the Cookie Preferences panel because the relevant requested functionality may not operate correctly without them.
3.3.2 All other cookies, being performance, functional, and any marketing cookies, are used only with your consent. Consent is obtained through the Cookie Preferences panel described in clause 6. You may withdraw consent at any time.
3.4 We do not place non-essential cookies on your device before you have given consent, other than as necessary to record your consent choice itself. Pre-ticked boxes, implied consent from continued browsing, and cookie walls are not used.
4. HOW WE USE COOKIES
4.1 We use cookies to:
- keep you signed in to your Platform account and maintain the security of your session;
- remember your preferences, cookie choices;
- support authentication and session security;
4.2 We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE
5.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies and Similar Technologies. These are required to provide functionality you request, including authentication, session management, security, maintaining draft workflows, redirects during registration or sign-in, email verification, and remembering your cookie preference. They do not require consent and are not controlled by the optional cookie preference settings.
5.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies. We do not currently use performance or analytics cookies. If we introduce them in future, they will be used only where permitted and, where consent is required, only after you have given that consent. This Policy and the Cookie Inventory will be updated before they are deployed.
5.3 Functional Cookies and Similar Technologies. These remember optional choices you make, such as display and layout preferences or whether you have dismissed a notice. They improve your experience but are not necessary for the core operation of the Platform. Where consent is required, they are used only after you have enabled the relevant category.
5.4 Marketing Cookies. We do not currently use marketing cookies or similar technologies. If we introduce them in future, this Policy and the Cookie Inventory will be updated and, where consent is required, those technologies will not be enabled until you have given that consent.
6. YOUR COOKIE CHOICES
6.1 Cookie Preferences panel. When you first visit the Website you will be presented with a cookie notice allowing you to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or set your preferences by category.
6.2 Cookie choices. The notice provides immediately available options to accept all optional cookies or use necessary cookies only, with one click required for either choice. You may also set your preferences by category. You are not required to accept non-essential cookies to access the Website or Platform.
6.3 Changing your choices. You may change your cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie Preferences panel, accessible from the footer of every page.
6.4 Record of preferences. When you make a choice through the Cookie Preferences panel, your selected preferences and the date and time of that choice are stored in your browser’s local storage. This information remains on that browser until you change your preferences, clear your site data, or the browser removes it. Entegri Connect does not currently retain a separate server-side record of your cookie preference.
6.5 Re-consent. Where we introduce a materially new cookie or a new purpose requiring consent, we will ask for your consent before that cookie or purpose is enabled.
7. BROWSER SETTINGS AND AUTOMATED PRIVACY SIGNALS
7.1 Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings, usually under “Privacy”, “Security”, or “Site settings”.
7.2 Blocking all cookies through your browser will prevent parts of the Website from functioning, including signing in to a Platform account.
7.3 Browser settings apply per browser and per device. Changing settings on one device does not change them on another.
7.4 Do Not Track. The older “Do Not Track” browser signal has no agreed industry standard for how it should be interpreted, and we do not respond to it. Your choices in our Cookie Preferences panel remain effective regardless.
8. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
8.1 Google Sign-In. Where you choose to sign in using Google, Google may set cookies or use similar technologies on Google-controlled domains as part of the authentication process. Those technologies are controlled by Google and are subject to Google’s own privacy and cookie information. Entegri Connect does not currently use a third-party analytics or advertising provider.
8.2 Where a third-party provider processes personal information on our behalf, it does so as an operator under POPIA, and as a processor under the GDPR where applicable, bound by a written agreement requiring it to process that information only on our instructions and to apply appropriate security safeguards.
8.3 Cross-border processing. Some information associated with cookies or similar technologies is transmitted to and processed by Platform infrastructure outside South Africa where this is necessary to provide authentication, session or other Platform functionality. Other information, such as certain locally stored preferences, may remain solely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Where personal information is processed outside South Africa, the locations and transfer safeguards are described in clauses 10 and 11 of the Platform Privacy Policy.
8.4 Third-party providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. We do not control those cookies.
9. COOKIES AND CHILDREN
The Website and Platform are not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly set non-essential cookies on the device of a child, and we do not use cookies to profile children.
10. COOKIE DATA AND RETENTION
10.1 Cookies are retained for the duration stated for each cookie in the Cookie Inventory, or until you delete them.
10.2 Personal information collected through cookies is retained in accordance with the Platform Privacy Policy.
10.3 Cookie preference records. Your cookie preference and the date and time of your choice are stored locally in your browser. Entegri Connect does not currently retain a separate server-side copy of that record.
11. YOUR RIGHTS
11.1 Where cookies process your personal information, you have the rights set out in clause 15 of the Platform Privacy Policy, including access, correction, deletion, objection, and withdrawal of consent, and, where the GDPR applies to you, restriction and portability.
11.2 To exercise these rights, contact our Information Officer at rayno@entegri.net.
11.3 You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
12.1 We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our processing activities, or legal requirements.
12.2 Material changes will be notified by a notice on the Website and, where you hold a registered account, by email. Where a change introduces a new cookie or purpose requiring consent, we will ask for your consent before that cookie is placed.
12.3 The version number and effective date at the top of this Policy indicate the current version.
